This is Me.
Hi there, I'm Rishma!
Based in San Francisco, shaped by Indian culture, I began as a Graphic Designer and have evolved into an Interaction Designer. While I do believe that visuals can captivate audiences and create lasting first impressions, a quote by Hartmut Esslinger, founder of frog, resonates with me: "Form follows Emotion"
My time at frog reshaped my design approach to ask the question - If a product or service doesn’t evoke emotional responses like providing delightful moments in the mundane, then what are we designing for?

Visual Thinker
and Storyteller
I focus on conveying the narrative of my designs, to create a compelling experience that resonates with people.
Pragmatic Problem-Solver
With diverse problem spaces and audiences across projects, I adopt a dynamic approach, tailoring research methods and processes to fit specific needs.
Collaborative Ally
I thrive on working with diverse teams, in various capacities. For me, it’s more about building products along with my users rather than just for them.
Apart from work...
Hiking by the Bay
The diverse landscape of the Bay beckons me to explore the city's locales. Hiking helps me rejuvenate, and is a welcome break from the daily humdrum. My recommendation: Lands End Trail.
Pantone Pique
As a visual designer, discovering pantone shades intrigues me. I'm always on the lookout for trending pantones and color combinations I can incorporate in my work!
Current Favorite : Tea Pot Blue
Plant Obsessor
A proud plant mom, my ultimate aesthetic is any space with indoor plants! If not obsessively window shopping for new additions, you'll most likely find me sketching them to etch them in my memory!
